In my art work so far, I have been interested in the analysis of the social reconstruction of postmemory, giving prominence to the autobiographical, as well as the theme of dialogue and connection between various discourses pertaining to the family past. The archival materials have been used as a potential source of alternative narratives and reverse histories in which I sought to identify multilayered relationships, their possible and inconsistent meanings. In that sense, the issue of archives assumes an autographic dimension and prompts speculation regarding the role of archives and memory as creative processes encompassing various bases for the interpretation of a picture’s temporality.
